SkyGuru, a new iOS application, is hoping to assist travellers with addfressing anxiety in the air. The application harnesses information from professional aviation resources around the world, real-time data from the user’s iPhone's sensors, and a series of complex algorithms to talk users through flights from beginning to end. Input your flight number 24 hours before departure and the app gets going right away – dispensing advice on which seat to choose and analysing airport weather conditions so it can prepare you for any out-of-the-ordinary sensations during take-off. During the journey, SkyGuru is with you every step of the way: calculating flight times based on current winds, explaining any dipping sensations, sounds, turbulence, cabin procedures, and delays, and even predicting any manoeuvres on take-off or landing based on current conditions. The idea is to appeal to the anxious passenger's rationale in order to assuage their fears.
